Additional ideas for learning the vocabulary and phonetic concept:
- Print out the words: Bat, Sat, Dad, Mad, Dig, Pig, Hit, Fit, Bin, Tin, Fan, Tan. Have the child match words based on rhyming.
- Here are a few worksheets: Begin with short vowel 'a' sounds, Fill in the middle vowel, Label the Picture, Word Search, Silly Story Fill-in.
- Print out any words from the first two weeks that you have in your house. Give your child the words and tape and let the child find and tape the word to the object.
